STUDENT DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY
Where it all started and the foundation from which everything that ACO builds from in other ministries. Staff spend time each week knocking on doors sharing the Gospel, leading small group Bible studies, and discipling key students.
Student Discipleship Ministry staff invest in college students by sharing the Gospel, leading small group Bible studies and discipling key students. Their mission is to help students establish a foundation of faith to serve and share in their own unique communities.
Out of this approach we pray that students find a foundation in faith (followers of Christ) to launch their lives after graduation inside the community where God places them. Along the way we desire for our students to participate in becoming a part of the solution in the community through other ACO Ministries such as New Beginnngs, Pamoja House, Local Churches, and Frontiers.
Ignite is program offered by Student Discipleship Ministry Staff. It takes graduates from SDM or likeminded ministries and injects them into a 10 month internship. The “interns” spend class time in Njoro (Pronounced N Joro), do on campus student ministry and Egerton and Kabarrack universities, and spend time in each of the SDM cities watching & walking with our staff there.
